civil

If I have not been served to appear in court for a civil case, can a warrant be taken out for my arrest when I do not attend the court proceeding

In general, you don't get arrested for failing to appear for a civil case/civil warrant. What you do get is a judgment against you. However, if you fail to appear on a subpoena and fail to appear on a show cause--a body attachment can issue.
