Extended Warrenty/Auto
When I purchased my car 3 yrs. ago I also purchased an extended warrenty for 3 yrs or 80,000 miles. I was told by dealer that this plan would refund my money if when it expired I had never had a claim. Well now the 3 yrs. are up with no claims and I would like my money back. I went to dealer and was told that the insurance company that backed the company who sold me said warrenty had quit doing business with them and I might not get my money back now. I sent them the requested form for claiming a refund by certified mail and have yet to recieve notification of reciept. It is sitting in a PO box for a month now. Need to know what my next step should be. Thanks
Social Security and LTD Disability
I became disabled in 2004 and was receiving ltd disability benefits which I had paid for through my company..however, when I received my social security disability benefit I was unware that I had to pay the offset back to my ltd disability and because i did not they cancelled my ltd benefits in 2005 causing me to lose $1,000 a month..Isn't social security disability benefits offset by my ltd benefits and if this is so, shouldn't I receive additional monies through SS disability since I no longer have the ltd benefit? Isn't the social security amount received offset by the amount I would have received from my ltd disability? So confusing.. Also, I have a retirement pension which I can start to take next February 2009 when I reach the age of 55..will my social security disability be reduced because of taking my early retirement pension from my job?
Thank you
auto insurance
I had a 6 mth policy, paying month to month, and stopped payment when my fiance added me to his policy. I told my new insurance agent that I still had 3 mths left on my policy, and I was told that I do not have to let a company know that I am cancelling for any reason. No payment will result in a dropped policy. My former insurance agency is now sending me to collections to collect payment for several months, even though I no longer am insured with them, nor do I wish to obtain insurance with their company. Is this legal?
