Class Action Claim

Having submitted a claim before the claim expiration date in a class action suit I have heard nothing since. I have repeatedly left messages on their 800 call in number and have failed to recieve a response.

All other information that I have is that cure letters were sent out in Oct for those with inadequate documentation. I have not recieved one. This makes me nervous as the documentation that I sent in were purchase invoices that were over 10 years old and the business that I purchased the product from has long since gone out of business. My biggest fear is that the claim will end up in the proverbial circle file and I will recieve nothing.

I would appreciate any comments or advice on this matter.

Re: Class Action Claim

I assume that you made copies of everything that you sent in with the claim form, along with the claim form itself. Assuming that you can verify that you submitted the materials within the deadline, you should normally be OK. If the Class Action is being handled by a law firm, I would try to e-mail, send a certified letter, or attempt to contact the main number of the firm, to see if someone can verify that your materials were received, but if it was a claims administrator that you sent your materials to, it might be a bit more difficult. I would probably recommend sending a certified letter to wherever you sumbited your claim, asking for verification that your materials were recieved. Again, keep copies of everything that you send.
