Copyright

I am transcribing from paper bound book to WORD file. This is a temporary job in which I will assist the author with the typing. It is a copyrighted material and she was wondering if or what I would need to sign before she hands over the material to me?

Re: Copyright

It is a work for hire and she retains the copyright. A simple agreement between you and she that she is hiring you to type the manuscript for her and that you are not the author should suffice.
