Definition: ''Good Cause''

Is there a commonly accepted definition for ''Good Cause''? Example, ''good cause'' to grant or deny a request for a continuance of a proceeding.

"Good Cause" means circumstances sufficient to justify the requested order or other action, as determined by the judge. See C.C.P., section 116.130 (j). This is the most common definition used in the cases.
