extremist symbol

A friend and I went to a nightclub and noticed they had a hangman's noose located right over the bar. I question the bartender about it. He only mentioned that it has been there for 15 years and that if it was him he would have taken it down. The establishment describes itself as a place that is diverse. What steps can be taken legally in having the noose removed from the establishment due to what it represents and how it might be considered offensive to customers?

Re: extremist symbol

You can't do anything to force the removal of the hangman's noose. It's a private establishment.

Write to the owner of the club, let him know you find it offensive, and that it would drive away customers. That might convince him to take it down.
