fee arbitration
I prevailed at my fee arbitration. It was non binding. Today I received a settlement offer from the attorney, less than I was awarded. I see this as concern on the part of the attorney. It is my plan to wait and follow the ruled for collection the Bar has outlined. I am wondering if the lawyer sent the letter because, if settled prior to the 30 days, his loss at the hearing will not go on his record. Am I correct ? Also, am I doing the right thing ? His offer was to pay a lot less than I was awarded. Should I respond or just wait the 30 days and proceed? Thank you.
Re: fee arbitration
Depending on the amount involved, you might want to retain or at least pay for a consultation with an attorney you can trust to assist you with this matter.
