Grandmother being pushed to quit working.

My 86 year old grandmother still works and her eye sight is getting bad.Doctors have orderd her not to drive at night. Her superviser came up to her and very rude told her she wasn't even suppose to still be working there with her disability she cant see to drive at night and all the other employees do drive at night. She worked there for about 12years and now they are trying to make her quit. Is there anything she can do?

Re: Grandmother being pushed to quit working.

If it is expected of all employees that night driving is part of the normal job responsibilities, the employer is under no obligation to make special allowances for someone who cannot perform the job under normal working conditions. If the job involves night-driving for all employees and she cannot drive at night then the employer is within their rights to terminate her.
