Hi,

If someone is being evicted from their apartment, go to the scheduled court date, and subsequently lose, I understand a writ of possession will be issued. What exactly is this and how long before the evicted tenant receives it?

Thanks!

Laura

You need to contact the local sheriff's department because each has a different backlog on serving the writ.
