I was charged with possession and intent to sell marijuana, possession and intent to sell LSD, and possession of drug paraphernalia in late May of this year (in Kansas). The case is now basically over as I will be pleading down to just a misdemeanor of marijuana possession.

During this time, I applied for financial aid at the school I will be attending (a UC school in California).

I received my financial aid package this week. The problem is, to the best of my knowledge, anyone convicted of a drug conviction of any kind is not eligible for financial aid.

What should I do now? Contact the school and tell them?

I agree. You need to look closely at the regulations relating to financial aid.
