I WORK IN THE MEDICAL FIELD. rECENTLY THE WORKERS WERE GIVEN NEW UNIFORMS, HOWEVER WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WEAR A SWEATER OR COVER UP WHEN WE ARE COLD. IS THIS LEGAL?

Yes, its legal. You should bring your concerns to your employer and work on a solution, such as, a warm undergarment similar to thermal underwear is a possible solution.
