Industrial encroachment

My parents live in a home that is across the street from a saw mill. When they first purchased the home there was a house and trees across the street and was a pleasant place to live. Now there is a lumber yard which in itself causes several problems. First it's very noisy, second there is tons of semi traffic and often they are lined up in front of the house also there are huge lights that make it look like mid day at any hour. Also recently my parents dug a pond behind their house and dug a well for irrigation. The water is strange looking and has an oily residue. They are sending the water in for analysis. Question, is this mill able to do this? Invading us with noise light, dust, traffic and potentially bad ground water. If not what actions should I take. Thank you for your time.

Re: Industrial encroachment

Hire a good lawyer. There are several theories which you can pursue based on what you wrote, but you really need an attorney competent in environmental, zoning and nuisance issues.
