lawyer help
I have hired an immigration lawyer to help my husband and I prepare our case for a waiver for illegal entry and presents. I have already received a letter from the visa center to appear in Mexico, which we have postponed. My question is, is how do I get my lawyer to work on my case? I e-mail with no response and don't know what else to do but ask for progress to be done. My concern is that all the reports will be done at the last minute and I'm not that kind of person. What should I say or do?
Re: lawyer help
If you don't like the way your lawyer is behaving tell him so and that you're thinking of firing him to hire someone else. That will perk him up. Either he will explain why he's putting off doing whatever he's doing (sometimes it's good to wait, other times it's not). If his explanation doesn't make sense to you and you can't get him to articulate it to you, then you should seek other counsel because either you're not communicating or he's trying to snow you.
