Nonpayment

What are my options as a subcontractor who substantially performed cabinet & millwork, under a contract signed by the general contractor and building owner who have not paid the balance of my contract. They are claiming some work was defective but has not stated a value to the defective work, no punch list, or made an offer as to final payment, considering that some minor work was not completed under the contract.
