pre-employment check

i was arrested last year (11377(a)). I've never been arrested before. I was given a deferred entry of judgement (PC1000) for a period of 18 months. I am applying for a telecommunications job in C A. Will this offense appear in their criminal background check? OR any background check for that matter?

Re: pre-employment check

Of course a conviction would show. However, deferred judgment means that no conviction has been ordered yet, so it wouldn't show as a conviction on your record. Stay out of trouble and it won't.
