Stolen Vehicle

My car was stolen from my home. The police man came took a report, of which I signed, and told me he would contact me. He never contacted me. When I went to get a copy of the report, which I needed in order for the impound to release my car, I was told that the report was never finished by the officer. I have since spoke to the officer and he said he didn't finish the report because he thought I wouldn't have followed through anyway.

This entire situation is murking over with poor behavior. I want to know what I can do. What does a citizen do when they have been wronged by the police?

Re: Stolen Vehicle

Somewhat surprising; stolen can matters usually bon't just blow away unless the owner turns out just to have forgotten where he parked.

I would start out by contacting the police officer's superior or some person in the police hierarcy whose job it is to follow up on citizen complaints about police effectiveness.
