Workmans comp.Settelment
My fiance gallops horses for a living. The horse he was on stopped abruptly and threw him. The horse stepped on his face and kicked him in the jaw. Breaking it on both sides. His initial surgery wasn't successful as one side was too badly damaged and one of the plates broke. His second surgery turned out the ''best it could'', according to his dr. His jaw didn't heal properly and now he has a different line or bite. There was too much bone damage to reconstruct. His employer didn't turn this in to w/c for 3 weeks after the accident and has never spoken to him again. This happened in june 2007. His jaw was wired shut until october. The w/c dr. Released him in dec. To go back to work. But he was out of a job by then. His employer no longer needed him !! And he was finally found a job in jan. Making 1/2 of what he was at that employer. Also lost his original full time job do to the injury and was never comp. For any lost wages from that. This man has gone from making 800 wk to 200.00 since this injury. Had his jaw wired shut, lost almost 40lbs. Of his 150lb. Build and now the w/c is offering 7500.00 settelement. How can this be fair???

Frankly, sounds like it's not. Your friend should seek an immediate free consult with a lawyer such as myself.
