My grandson was recently born positive with drugs in his system CPS has placed him in a placement home I showed up to the first hearing the judge ordered assessment on my home assessment hasn't been approved CPS asked the judge to order a drug screening and he said no however they're still trying to keep my grandson from me and is trying to take it and put it back in front of the judge to get a drug screening ordered what can I do. Due to this coronavirus going on right now I had cancer last year aplastic anemia and a very susceptible to infections and I don't want to put myself at risk by going somewhere that is not needed. The baby's lawyer stated that she does not need a drug screening on her end she has also contacted the county attorney and he has no recollection of needing a drug screening what will happen
Hire an attorney. CPS is a machine, they have standards and they have procedures and they have checklist but they have no soul.
Please understand, I know CPS has a purpose, I just happen to be of the belief that CPS has become too much like the IRS - everyone is guilty until proven innocent.
NEVER NEVER NEVER take on CPS without a lawyer and that means NEVER NEVER NEVER let them in your home without a lawyer present unless they have a warrant and NEVER NEVER NEVER sign a Family Services Plan unless you have it looked at by your own attorney first.
