I bought a used $8000 car from dealership in Houston, paid in full, two days (48 hours) later the engine broke down I called them and they said they will fix it despite the sale was "AS-IS without warranty", they sent a tow truck and picked up the car from my house and it has been 6 weeks and they are ignoring my calls and whenever I go there the owner is not there and his secretary is giving me false info.
I keep asking them about title and registration for the car according to the sale contract which I paid for TTL, they keep telling me that it is not done yet, and now they are lying about the government is closed due to CoronaVirus, I checked local DMV is working and court is working. what can do? how can I get my money back from those people?? can I sue them for fraud??
Sue them in JP court to rescind the contract and promissory and refund what you've paid for their failure to deliver title - forget the mechanical part unless they actually deliver title then sue on breach of contract to repair.
