I am currently in the 5 year BAIID program well into my 2nd year. I started the renewal process 90 days prior to the expiration of my first year, but the process took almost 2 months longer and there was a gap before my renewed permit was received. Will this affect my 1825 "consecutive" days? The interlock device remained in my vehicle, and my monthly calibrations were maintained without interruption. Thank you in advance.
As long as you get to your hearings no longer than 30 days after the permit expires the chain is not broken. So you are good.
And for future reference, you can renew your permit every eight months. That is an unwritten policy they have in order to avoid gaps because they are so far behind
