I surrendered my condo in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy 2 years ago. My original lender, Well Fargo, sold/transferred my mortgage to a new lender, Bayview Loan Servicing. In a recent letter, Bayview stated "Because Hazard Insurance is required on your property, we plan to buy insurance for your property. You must pay us for any period during which the insurance we buy is in effect but you do not have insurance".
Is this true?
