My son had a firm looking into a medical malpractice case for him. They had the case since August of 2018. Their nurses sent us a letter stating he has a case and just needed a specialist on board. Long story short, they drug their feet, very little contact with my son and just 2 days ago told him he has a case, but without a specialist there's nothing they can do. This was told to us a WEEK before the statute of limitations runs out! I have tried to find another attorney, but none will take the case this close to the time limit. Due to negligence on the hospitals part he is now an amputee, has had 11 surgeries, and is still looking at more. We are desperate! His Bill's are mounting and will need constant care for the rest of his life.
You need to talk to an attorney with a larger medical malpractice firm. There are several issues that can effect when the statute of limitations runs. I may be able to assist you with a referral.
