As I was walking back from the bathroom in WinnDixie, I slipped and fell to the ground hitting my knee very hard during the fall. When I got up I realized I had slipped and fell because of feces laying in the middle of the aisle. It was all over my foot as well. I have a deep contusion on my right knee from this. I am going to an orthopedic surgeon to make sure there is no tissue damage. I was referred by the ER after finding no broken bones or fractures. If I have no serious injuries, will I still be able to get any money from this for pain and suffering? Winn Dixie’s corporate office has reached out and said they would pay for my medical bills. However I feel that’s not good enough. This is by far the most disturbing thing I’ve ever went through, Not to mention disgusting.
The value of your claim is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the seriousness of your injuries, the permanency of your injuries, the nature of your treatments, the amount of your medical expenses, the amount of your lost wages, and pain and suffering. Until you complete your treatments, there is no true way to value your claim.
trust
My dad passed away, and owed $8000 on vehicle. He was the only one on the title. He had a trust with only the house in it. Do I have to continue making payments on the loan until probate is settled? If we wait until things are settled will we owe way more on the vehicle? He has the money in checking to pay it but, no one was on that account either, so, it too is going to probate. This is all so confusing! Thank You
Juvenile felony
My son is 16 and he was pressured by an adult to purchase a bag of weed 3 months ago and he just got arrested 10/29/07. They took his truck and let him go home after being finger printed. We did not get a police report or anything. What will happen?
probable cause
does officers have to have probable cause to run dog around vehicle? Where can I go to research this topic more?
discharge items and Chapter 7
I have come to the decision that I am going to need to file bankruptcy. An old creditor that I don't have the money to pay has filed a suit against me. I qualify for chapter 7 with my student income. I am concerned b/c I recently purchased a computer and a few other items in the last month. I see the law says something about items over $500, and none of my single items are over $500, nor were they purchased in a single transaction. Will these items be dischargeable? How will they be handled i.e., will they have to be returned to the lender?
