What does the lease say? The landlord might have the right to do what he is doing because it is allowed per the lease. It is not correct for a landlord to treat one tenant different from others for like apartments and like rent amounts. The fact that you are single and others married might be noted in the lease. For example, the lease might say "one car per person". If this was in the lease or in some other rule, then this might give the landlord the right to do what he is doing with you. Then there is the issue of your cars. Are they in reasonable nice condition? If one was a wreck this might inspire the landlord to ask you to move it away.
