His creditors can go after his interest in your community property. You must take great care not to commingle your separate property (what you owned prior to the marriage) with his property or with your community property. I strongly recommend that you enter into a post-nuptial agreement with your husband, to make sure that you and your property are not subject to his debts or tax obligations. The fact that he is withholding information from you, would seem to indicate that he has had financial difficulties. You should absolutely NOT put him on title with you with any of your separate property. Please take great care and protect yourself financially.
