I was laid off/fired from my job a year and a half ago. No one told me I was laid off or fired they just kept ignoring my call's and my emails and texts that I sent them. Now I wanted to reapply for my job but couldn't make the interview so I texted my exboss to see if I could reschedule he said no and we got into a fight about my unemployment he told me I was a seasonal worker and the season was over so I was fired. yet I worked there for a year and a half. I would have filed for unemployment if they wouldn't have not returned my emails, texts, phone calls and everything. do I have any legal action for them not telling me so I could not get my unemployment

The arrangement seems very informal from your description. I guess you were working at home. Didn't it seem odd when the paychecks stopped arriving? Do you have anything in writing? Rather than getting a private lawyer and suing, I think you should first go to a local office of the Labor Commissioner and request information about how to file a complaint.
