My father is on breathing life support because of lung complications after open heart surgery. He is still mentally aware, but doesn't quite understand why we are no longer able to visit him. Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas has set strict rules of no visitation until death day, in light of Coronavirus. Is this legal? Even if it is detrimental to my father's health?
Yes, considering your father's very frail health, unless you have tested clean for COVID-19 as well as flu, this is the only way to hope to prevent him from getting sicker. You may wish to try and set up something by telephone so he can at least hear your voice.
