I was staying at a hospital post partum (delivery) and the bathroom shower knob fell on my foot. I have been experiencing foot pain for over two years and despite all my efforts to fix the pain ( massages, nerve tests, physical test) nothing has improved. The pain is interfering with my daily life and I am worried about long term affects. The statute of limitations expires on July 4th and I want to make sure I am able to file a legal dispute before that. I have proof of the accident taking place (photos and hospital complaint) and also the hospital was cited for the same. Thanks!
If the Statute of Limitations expires soon then time is of the essence. Do not delay in contacting an attorney who is experienced in personal injury matters to represent you. It the time expires your claim may be permanently barred and you will give up your rights for damages. It sounds like you have a good deal of information to provide to the attorney so do so right away. Do not wait until the last minute because it will likely take time to draft the legal documents necessary and serve them on the Defendants. Good luck with your case and I hope your injury heals or improves soon.
As you know time is critical. You should sit down with a personal injury attorney right away.
more info needed.
however, if the 2 years is still not up, then in California would probably allow you to file yet.
contact a lawyer tomorrow.
write out a detailed summary of the facts as lawyers do not like to take a case right before the statute runs.
Youi need to contact personal injury attorneys. Attorneys aren't supposed to reach out to you and offer to take your case.
