My boyfriend drove my car Got pulled over, got a dui. I didn't know he had left in it. When cop came to my house, I wrote a statement saying "he went outside then cop pulled in keys were in my purse" cop wrote did he have pernission? I put no. I was also drinking. Next morning before going to pick my car up I realised the keys were still in my purse, and he had my spare. Which I knew but in the moment that never crossed my mind. I know he wasn't trying to steal it, dumb decision on his part for the dui. His license were also suspended which I did not know. Question is court is Friday and I have to go, what will happen? Can I tell them about the spare key? Is he going to get a theft charge?
