co signed student loan

my wife co signed a student loan for someone and this person never used the money for school and now this person wont pay the money to the student loan place is there anything we can do to get her name off the loan since it was a offical student loan and wasnt used for schooling

My sister died 2 years ago. Her son is now 17 and tired of being abused by his step-dad left home and was living in a homeless shelter. His school told him he could not attend without an address and legal guardian. They took him out in handcuffs. Is this legal?

College Transcripts

I entered College as a freshman 9/06. Iona did not have enough dorms so they housed 18 students in a nearby apartment complex. I was told in order to get a dorm in 1/07 I should take the room in the apartment complex. Every student is required to sign a one year commitment. I was told I would be in aroom with all freshman. I was not there was only one other freshman and jurs and seniors. The RA did not have any control over the activities in nthe apartment. The apartment was an unsafe environment and inadaquate transporation to and from school. I decided to not stay in the apartment. I withdrew from the college to transfer. The college is refusing to give me my transcript based on the fact that they want me to mpay the room and board fees for the spring semester. I need to get my first semester transcripts. I paid for the entire semester room and board. Can they force be to pay the dorm fees?

accusations

I'm a teacher. I worked in a union state. The union advised when an accusation was made to remain silent. Currently, I teach in a state with no unions. Recently, an administrator confronted me with accusations made by students. I chose to keep quiet. They said this was not acceptable. The superintendent said that this was part of my performance duties and I could not keep quiet.

I own my own company and have created a technique that is used in the dental office to relax patients, all within my scope of practice. I am now ''certifying'' others in this technique that includes aromatherapy, touch therapy and other educational information....Can I give them a Certification Course for this technique that I have created and teach? What makes one certified?

Is there a law for cursing or using fowl language in a public school? besides 3 hrs. detention, My son got papers from the local magistate to pay a fine for cursing in a study hall. he is 17 years old. Can they do that?

federal civil rights case I lost in part

was investigated. The case took place

in Federal Court in Pennsylvania

involving a former student there.

The allegations took place in 1997. I

have no criminal record and no

complaints at my current job in NY.

Is their a time line as to how long

can they keep me home with pay

while they investigate? And is their

grounds for an investigation if there

were no complaints made?

I want to know what are the prospects and scope of Indian Law degree in US.

Am I eligible to work under any attorney now?

What do you think is the best way to have my Indian Law Degree recognized in US-

a) To prepare for bar exam of California or New York or

b) To be a continuing student at some law schools in Texas itself?

Harrassment / Intimidation by a teacher

After parents filed a complaint about a teacher, he entered another teachers room and asked these 6th grade students for address information, parent and grandparent information. I feel it was an intimidation towards those students who spoke to us about the problem in class. After the asst. superintent questioned him on this he admitted to it and said it was on the advice of his attorney. He could have went into the office to retrieve personal info on the students, is what he did considered harrassment or intimidation?

Assault

My son is 15 yrs old he had a fight after school and was assaulted not on school grounds the boy is 17yrs old and he slammed my son on his head and my son went into a seizure i just want toknow what kind of charges can i file

false accused of cheating

I have been falsely accused by the

Instructor of cheating. He said I had

prior knowledge of the FINAL exam

and found me guilty before he even

talked to me. I took the final exam

on Wednesday night. I was notified

by email from the Instructor saying I

had prior knowledge of the exam

because I talked to student a hour

before the exam. The student I

talked to got caught cheating.

However, I found guilty because he

visually observed me talking to the

cheating student one hour before

the exam started. As a result, I

have received a F in the class. The

instructor did not hear our

conversation. The exam was on

wednesday. I did not received the

email from the instructor until three

days later(Saturday). The school is

not listening to me. I am poor

student who needs free legal

assistance.

Public school partisan? part 2

My earlier question was answered but I did not provide enough detail; i will now ask the same question again but place it in context. I am enrolled in a public high school in New York. I had a school physical recently to allow me to be eligible to play school sports. I was about to take the hearing/vision part of the test, so the nurse, an elderly lady, and i went into the room and closed the door to prevent background noise. She made small talk for a moment and then asked somewhat casually who i would vote for in the current presidential election were I eligible. I told her who my choice would be, and she then asked me what my religion was. I told her the half truth that I was a non practicing catholic (I am an atheist, but my father was raised catholic) and she said that maybe I should practice. She then asked how i felt on abortion, and i told her briefly and truthfully my views on Roev.Wade Then, she said that there were ''some things I should know'' about my pres. choice. For about 5-10 minutes, she lectured me on abortion, what my candidate wanted to do,and why mothers should carry to term. In short, in no way was the influence related to her teaching duties, which are nonexistent. Was her attempt at influence illegal?
