Can a teacher be sued by a school district for what he writes on a blog attached to a teachers union website? The posting dealt with general tax policies and issues and mentioned no person or organization in particular. The posting resulted in some unofficial parent complaints.

Dear Sir ;

we are currently in the process of incorporating in USA ( delaware ) LLC .

we are willing to register--name removed--private school offering K - 12 courses as distance education based , courses will be offered for normal students internationally as well as students with lelarning disablilities .

we are not US citizens nor residents thats why we are forming the company in delaware , we will have--name removed--mailing address in delaware and the company forming our LLC will act as our registered agent .

we are willing to know which state would accept registeriing in and afterwards its followup is easy & no red tape envolved .

Hello, I was attending a private University in PA that incorporates a co-op program into the curriculum. Meaning that a student works for six months (with pay) in the field of their degree concentration. While working, a student is awarded 16 credits for the 2 quarters. However, I was fired from my co-op position without any warning, notice, or documentation. According to the program, if you fired from a co-op position it is considered a failure of 2 classes which is the max allowable before you are dismissed from the program. I have been told that I have a relevant case on several levels due to no notice of being fired & other issues related to my co-op experience. I am not sure what type of attorney would handle a case of this nature

P.S. a girl from U of Michigan dental recently won $1.7M in a VERY similar case.

I am only 20 years old and attending a 2 year college. I work Monday through Friday at my regular job, but on the weekends my mother's husband is forcing me to work at his business. I am not receiving any pay, but if i do not work at his business on the weekends i have to leave my house.

I am an undergraduate student at a private US university. I am a recipient of financial aid in the form of University grants. According to University policy, my personal assets are taken into account in calculating my ability to pay tuition. In effect, my summer earnings decrease the size of grant for the coming year.

I have an idea to circumvent this policy, allowing me to earn money without the penalty of increased tuition cost. A trusted person would establish an LLC. I would be hired as an employee of the LLC. I would earn money through legal, ''self-employed'' means, and my earnings would immediately become assets of the LLC. I would receive a small stipend from the LLC as wage after the summer of work, but most of the earnings would remain as assets of the LLC. Since the LLC is owned by my trusted friend and I have no ownership in it, the LLC assets would not be taken into account in determining the size of my university grant.

Upon my graduation, my friend would give me a gift: either the LLC and its assets, or just the assets.

Is this legal? Are there legal ramifications I have not considered?

Can a school district violate a court order?

I am the custodial parent of a 16-year old senior (soon to be 17) Senior at Estancia H.S (in Costa Mesa, CA) and my non-custodial ex-husband was allowed to drop him from high school without my consent or knowledge and move him to a correctional facility. Even after I made the court orders and my rights as a custodial parent known and showed them where they were at fault, they went ahead and removed him anyway! There was no explulsion or placement hearing and obviously no agreement amongst the parents. What can I do? They sent this matter to their attorney at Parker Covert and no one will answer my question including their lawyer. I don't have a lawyer and I can't afford one.

The offending parties are Orange County Dept. of Education's, Bill Habermehl, Newport-Mesa Unified School District's Superintendent, Dr. Jeffrey Hubbard, Estancia High School's Principal, Phil D'Agostino as well as Vice-Principal, Liz Lovett and the District's Director of Student Services, Rebecca Bishai is largely at fault as interpreted our ''joint legal'' custody clause in our MSA incorrectly. She practiced law without a license and told me short of a court order showing that I had sole legal custody that he was going to be removed from the school.

does the school have a legal obligation to contact the legal guardian with whom the child lives with that the childs father has picked the child up from school and to not expect the child to arrive home on the bus? The child cut herself out of anger Tues eve and Friday afternoon her father took her to a crisis center. I was not notified by the school.

Education and Politics

I teach at a private Christian school. I have a principal who declared Thursday, November 6 as ''Barack Obama Day'' and told the students that they needed to ''Dress in Obama wear'' and whatnot. I, first of all, do not believe politics should be preached at a school, and second, don't believe that it's legal. Then she had the nerve to tell me that I need racial sensitivity training because I didn't vote for Obama and didn't want the ''celebration of Obama Day'' at school.

I am tired of being called a racist by my boss and I'm tired of her belief that white people are all against black people. I actually think Obama is a great person, I just disagree with his politics.

Is it even legal for her to do any of this? We are a non-profit, Private, Christian school, run by a church. What can I do to get her to stop?
