Private school holding transcripts

My husband attended a private high school his jr and sr years of high school. His sr year of high school his parents fell into financial trouble and didn't pay the entire bill (theres like $9,000 left) The school is holding his transcripts and diploma from him until his parents pay the bill... which will never happen... Now he cannot apply for college because he has no proof of him even graduating or completing grades 11 and 12.... He was a minor the entire time he was in school and even graduated as a minor... He was never responsible for the bill.. it was his parents irresponsibility that it isn't paid..Is there anything he and I can do now without placing the huge financial burden on us? (This school was in IN)

My son was a student at a private high school. I lost my job and I now owe them past due tuition. H1B Processing Fee Refund

I paid H1 processing fee of $4465 to a consultant in US and my application was selected. But due to some unavoidable circumstances I planned to cancel my application ad spoke to them but they say that they cannot refund any amount.

When I spoke to them for the first time about the process told that they would deduct $500-$700 in case any thing goes unusual.

Now they say that they cannot pay anything and gives the payment details which they have expended as follows:

Processing fee & other consultation fees $200

Education evaluation $1000

INS fee for filing H1B1 (for this nothing has been mentioned in the receipt they gave me but now they say that it is $3000)

I am ready to forgive $500-700 but not the entire amount.

My son was assaulted by another student at school. It started as a threat progressed to objects being thrown and hitting to physical contact. Can the juvenile be arrested and can the school be held accountable?

My state wants to implement a performance test for career and technical education classes, they want private citizens from industry to administer and score this exam. is there any law that states this can not be done

I am a student at schaumburg high school and i'm a senior. As a senior i have to take senior survey. In survey we were writing this letter to Dick Derbin about a social issue. We wrote the paper and now i find out that my paper and some other student's paper are the same. We have the same teacher but i have the teacher in 6th hour and he has the teacher in 8th hour. Now the administrator here looked at the files that we saved and according to him my files were saved after his files. Now they are blaming me of something i never did! what should i do?

My son attends a SUNY college in NY and lives on campus in a dorm. His dorm floor's common bathroom was vandalised and the persons responsible were not caught. The school has (allegedly) charged ALL dorm residents for the damages and my son's account was charged with an arbitrarily $$ amount for ''his (alleged) portion of the expenses'' and then a hold was put on his account until his ''incurred fee'' balance is paid. I contested this action but the school argued that their ''catch-all clause'' in their handbook, which all students MUST sign and agree to it's contents before being granted admittance to the school, states that ''if damages occur to any common area and no one claims responsibility, the school can charge all occupants for the repairs and since my son (at age 17) signed the (mandatory) dorm agreement upon moving into the dorms, the school has the right to hold him responsible and block his account until it is paid. The school told me that they have no insurance for vandalism, security was not available, there were no security cameras in the area that was damaged and that there is no legal law that gives them the right to do this other than it is ''common practice'' for SUNY schools statewide. Is this legal??

I moved to MI one year ago to go to school. I had financial troubles and couldn't attend. I will be attending classes this winter. Do I need to change my state of residency to MI?

ARE=Architectural Registration Exams

NCARB=National Council of Architectural Registration Board�Develops, implements and scores the exams. NCARB holds copyrights for the exams and gets �Confidentiality Agreement� from test takers.

I am a candidate for ARE. After taking and failing an exam, I discussion with other candidates at on-line forum and posted such a diagram which only addressed hint of the issue of the exam that I previously had. Candidates are allowed by NCARB to discuss TYPE of exam questions but not reveal exam contents. I. NCARB has suspended my privilege of taking remaining exam based on their suspicion that my diagram has similarity to exam. I didn�t have any intentions to have similarity to exam contents.

I am in the receipt of a letter from the lawyer of NCARB stating that I have violated Confidentiality Agreement and have infringed upon NCARB�s copyrights. It further states that unauthorized dissemination of these contents violates the Confidentiality Agreement and federal copyright law (see 17 U.SC. 101 et. Seq.).

NCARB has given me right to respond. Under which area of law this issue comes; non disclosure act, copyright, education law, etc? How can I get the suspension reinstated? Please advice.
