I live in a small rural town of 250 people in central Iowa. A grain co-op built a 600,000 bushel storage bin a block from my from my front porch. The noise from the fans keep me from getting a good night sleep. They run the fans 24/7 when there is a �hot spot� in the corn. Since Christmas, it has not run very often but has for the last 48 hours and sleep is very hard to get. The city council likes the co-op because of the tax revenue. During fall harvest last year, the co-op had the fans running and also a new dryer. The noise was very bad. What action can I take to lessen the noise from the co-op?

There was a comlain 10 days prior of purches of my property. EPA serched the property and wrote that he did not find any evidence of under ground fule. This was october of 2008. if you need more info I will provide.

We purchased a property in California in the 1970's from a major oil company. It had been a gas station. Of course in those days, no one did Phase 1' or 2's or testing, etc. We built a restaurant ... a tire store on the site which are now getting old and past their useful ... order for us to do any new project in the future, I'm sure that we would be required to do testing where the gas station was. So here are my questions...

Should we wait until that time in the future when we are ready to build something new, or should we test now? I don't know if there is a fund in place now to take care of these costs...
