in a 5 yr relationship with married man(I was also married) I divorced 1st, he also left his spouse (not divorced still)he made me financial promises, I hawked my house with promises I would not be in a huge mtge for long, because he would help but he left me and went back because his children would have nothing to do with him(they didn't know about me). I am in financial dire straits, no money, hard to afford my mtge, I have 2 children, my credit score has dropped because I pay bills late. He got me in my financial difficulty I am in and I have no other option but to see if I could legally try to get him to help me like he promised. I have tried to sell my house but I owe more than house is worth, he helped me get my mtge. he was also my boss, I have known him for many years before the relationship, I trusted and felt safe with him.

my nephew needs a b.c and s.s.card. birth records from the hosp. have been destroyed (1965), doctor who delivered him is dead as are both parents. we have school record, but the photo is not clear enough, no childhood shot record exists, never in trouble. can't one without the other. with laws the way they are now, what can we do? we want to file for disability for him, he has never worked, is basically illiterate. wanted to put him on food stamps, but can't, no id. please help.

my dentist took me to court over a bill I had not paid.At the time I was unemployed and disabled.Nobody showed to represent the dentist so the decision went to me.This was several years ago, yet I still get an occasional bill or phone call from the dentist office claiming they know nothing about the suit..How binding is the desicion of the small claima court?

Dismissal with Prejudice as to entire action filed

Recently I settled a lawsuit I had against two parties. In our settlement one was to pay the agreed amount immediately, which he did, and the other was to pay me their agreed settlement amount on April 1, 2008. On the online case history the court has now shown the case as ''DISMISSAL WITH PREJUDICE AS TO ENTIRE ACTION FILED''. Is this correct in that the second party has not paid their share of the settlement amount?

I received a court ordered restitution for $610.00 3 years ago when the defendant went to prision. He is now out of prision and making money and I want to be paid. He is in CA and I am in IL. He was a minor at the time of the offense.

Landlord Question

Currently, I'm renting a single family home, which was discovered to have mold due to a leaking dishwasher(extensive). The tenants are refusing to seek temporary housing. Does there refusal remove my liability. The repairs and insurance claims will take time. I submitted a proposal to the tenants to use the rent for temporary lodging, until repairs are complete. Can i terminate lease? What is my liability? What should i do?

All legalease and added stipulations were added to a document we signed at mediation. We were aware of a final document that would be circulatedsoon after in which legalese would be added which we were not aware of what these legalease were. We do not agree to these or added stipulation that were not in what we signed as a tentative settlement the night of mediation. Do I have to formally recind this tentative agreement in court as my lawyer states I do even though I never signed the final one they are providing. We want to rescind a mediation agreement. After 9 hours mediation we signed an agreement and their lawyer has added stipulation into agreement that we were not in agreement plus leagalese protecting them from other agents collecting money from this agreement or our working with other agents, we have already contacted the IRS and other people whom this person owes lots of money before mediation. We can not sign final agreement the lawyer wrote up for these reasons. Our lawyer says we need to get another lawyer if we do not sign. We want to know what the rescinding process is.
