Awhile back, I was asked to establish an estate for a deceased parent whereas, I would be the spokesperson regarding a wrongful death suit. At the time of establishing the estate, the attorney said he was asked to set up the estate and that it looked like the case was not going to trial; it looked as if they were getting ready to do something.

After answering defendant interrogatories, how long afterwards could a case be settled? If in fact, the estate attorney was correct in saying, ''it wasn't going to trial.''

I am a defendant in a wrongful death suit. Others that were involved settled out of court but i could not afford an attorney at that time so they put a judgement on me for $1.5m. Can I still negotiate a different settlement if i get an attorney now?

Insurance and Medical Bills

I went to a health care provider who called and confirmed that their service would be covered by my medical insurance provider. After getting the approval, health care was provided including an MRI. After it was all completed, the health care provider turned in he claims and now my insurance company is stating that they will not cover any of it. The Health Care provider tried to appeal, but the appeal was denied by the insurance company. The bills are extremely expensive. What can I do?

If this was not done and no explaniation given to the employee after several attempts in contacting the superviors and the HRO stated that they notified the supervisor.. what can be done to get what is deserved for the superior performance award? When I bought my car I paid $850 for the windows to be etched for security. They said it would only take 5 minutes and result in lower insurance. The car dealership never did the work. I contacted them and requested a refund since they never did the work that was in the contract. They said that I need to take the car to them and have the work done. This means that I have to take a day off work and drive a long distance to get it done. I want to get a refund instead of doing this. They are giving me the run around and are increasingly difficult to contact. The individual who I must deal with has never responded to my request. I know that he knows about it but won't contact me directly. I need some advice.

Person to person loan

I loaned a friend over $3000.00 to purchase a vehichle on jan.29 2008 and i

created an agreement to recieve monthly payments from him of $250.Oo

starting feb.2008.Which he still has not paid me a dime.But i also added in

this agreement that until the money i loaned him was returned to me in

full,that the vehichle is my property and if he fails to make payments the

vehichle must be sold for the loaned amount or more and the money is mine.I

also included that if the matter becomes a legal issue that he is

responsible for paying all of my legal expenses.

I gave him until august 15 2008 to pay the money owed do i have to wait

until this date to take action or can i take action now?

I got served for a mediation hearing but am unable to go for it is out of town. I know I should attend, but my question is if I don't can I get arrested for not appearing?

I sold my 1994 mustang to a lady, and I explained to the best of my knowledge all the flaws of the vehicle. I was selling the car for $2000.00, but sold it for $1800.00. She gave me $1600.00, and signed a promise to pay within 2 weeks. She also signed a bill of sale stating she understands the flaws of the car and understands the car is being sold AS-IS. 3 days later, she phones me and threatens to take me to small claims court if I don't return her money and take my car back. I told her legally I don't have to and the next day I get a small claims filed against me stating that I owe her $1600.00 that was due on the date prior and that it was for merchandise. I filed a counter-claim for the amount that she still owes me, but i'm having problems getting her served. My question is, does she have a leg to stand on in court? Because last time I checked, if a private party sells their car AS-IS and that other party signs a paper agreeing, that car is no longer the sellers problem. Is this correct? What should I do to be better prepared? And should I hire an attorney?

Settlement agreement

I had mediation yesterday and I was forced into signing a settlement agreement I do not agree with. My own attorneys and the mediation were threatening me and placing extreme pressure on me to sign. I told them numerous times NO, and I told them I felt cornered, pressured, closterphobic and that I did not like it. They said I needed to take the offer and stop thinking of just myself. They would not let me leave. After I signed and got outside to fresh air, I regained my strength and was pissed and started calling them to cancel, but of course no one would return my calls. Can I get out of the agreement and continue my case in court?
