my husband is being investigated for physical abuse on my six year old due to a spanking that he recieved with a belt. What can I do and can he my son go stay with my mother without us getting in trouble for sending him there. Rights of the military family

My friend's military husband is arrested. Is she still entitled to the pay and medical? Because right now, she's not getting ANYTHING. She was supposed to get some funds on the 15 of Sept. But nothing. No finances, medical, help of any kind. She has 2 young kids from this guy. His command is telling her she'll lose everything once he's sentenced. Is this true? Who does she need to call..beside his command because they have turned their back on her claiming there's nothing they can do for her.

Shouldn't she be getting his pay now since he's technically still in. Why do she and her kids have to suffer because HE committed a crime. Towards her own family member at that! She really needs help.

My husband has been charged with grand larceny of 62,000, an AWOL charge, and a drug charge. He has not went to trial yet, but was offered a deal of 15months and his court date would be November. If he does not take the deal his court date will not be until February. There is a long drawn out story about all this, but mainly the military lost him and did not try contacting him until this past December. He does not believe he should be doing time for the grand larceny. Any opinion or help on this would be very helpful. I, his wife am in Texas and he has already been put into confinement at Camp Lejeune.

I went ua for 3 and a half years. turned myself in and now awaiting courtmartial. my old command put an njp on my record when i left and now that my pay is being reinstated the forfieture of pay is being taken. therefore if i get c/m wouldnt it be double punishment? whats my best bet here.

United States Marine Coprs Other Than Honorable Discharge

My DD293 request for upgrade for service discharge got denied by the Naval Council Of Personnel boards in Washington DC. I have since submitted a DD149 Application For Correction Of Naval Records with supporting documents. If this form is also denied, what options are left after fourteen years to try an upgrade service discharge. Was an E-4 with 4.8/4.8 pro/con marks and a Navy Achievment Medal. OTH resulted from one time positive urinalysis for marijuana. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and duely noted.

drug paraphernalia

My son was a passenger in a vehicle with 5 other people. The vehicle was stop, for not stopping at a stop sign, just a few minutes after they all got it the car. There were marijuana seeds and stems in the floor boards. They were all charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. I am told that the passengers charges will more than likely be dropped. My question is how is this going to affect my sons military career? Also how will it affect his sign up bonus? He has been signed up for 5 months, but hasn't been to bootcamp.

Upgrade Military Discharge

I am a former Marine. I did almost 3 of my four years. I was a machine gunner that did a combat tour over seas. I was a great Marine. High PFT, sharpshooter, Marine Corps Institute Classes, etc. Never had any councils or NJPs. I was discharged with ''personality disorder'' due to family issues that I could not take care of being hundred miles away. After being discharged, I took care of all my problems. I know my military career is over but I would like to try to become a NC State High Way Patrol Officer. I have been to seminars and took classes. Unfortunately I cannot even try out unless I have a FULLY honorable, NOT GENERAL UNDER HONORABLE CONDITIONS. I tried with every other police department around a 30 mile radius of my house. No one will take me. Understandable. I have been discharged for almost 1 year. Since then I have no gotten in any trouble and I have been writing back and forth waiting for a letter from my congressman. He sent me the info I needed and is in the process of writing me a commendation letter. I will also include letters from friends, my corpman from the marines, and my family. I do not think I deserve the same discharge as drug pops and UA's.

Captain's Mast and possible discharges

I have 12 years of Naval service and recently went to Captain's Mast. I was reduced one rank, 1/2 months pay X2 and will be administratively seperated. What kind of discharge can I expect?

back pay from 1988

While on active duty in Navy, hurt knee on board ship, had 2 screws put in right knee. Not longer after one screw had to be removed due to pain. One screw still in to this date. Medically Discharged June 1988. Was told I was rated 10%, missed an appointment dropped to 0% now back to 10%. Knee was operated on at Kaiser in 1999 because I was told I had no benefits. I have never received a dime for my disability. Am I entitled to back pay from 1988?

Recruiter Promises

Could promisies made by recruiters be considered as implied contract?....First, I was told that I would be getting an enlistment bonus between 4,000 and 40,000. After I signed the contract, I was told that it depeneded on the job. I was also told that if I could not adapt, I would have 6 months to get out without any problems or admin. consequences...I found out that this was not true I had to actually refuse to obey a lawful order and go to Captain's Mass to receive a entry level seperation under OTH..I also got a RE4 code which means I cant go to any other branch of the service....Could this be considered as a wrongful discharge since I was under the impression that there was an implied contract in place....And Honestly, I DIDN'T READ the WRITTEN CONTRACT.
