Alcoholics/Addicts being prohibited from store
There is a convenience store next to a half-way house that is prohibiting the recovering addicts from the facility from entering his store. The men have committed no crimes at this store or on it's property. This was sparked because one woman inside the store felt threatened by men that were being dropped off in the parking lot. It is lawful for the store owner to prohibit these men from entering this store simply because they are residing next door, working on their recovery?

The short answer is no, it is not lawful to prohibit people from entering an estalishment based on their status as recovering addicts. If the owner has issues with specific individuals based on specific activities, he may take steps to keep them from his premises. I would suggest that you contact the police re: this matter.
