Child Support across states
I'm a single mom, full time student, and live in NC and have 3 kids that reside with me. I have another child that lives with his father in MI and I am ordered to pay child support in the amount of 113/week. The order has been started and stoped many times throughout the years and has been stoped now for over a year. I received papers stating that I have to appear for show cause to explain why I shouldn't be held in contempt becuase the arrears is now over $21,000. What can I do or who can I contact to help me with this situation for it not to have a bad outcome? Please help....
