County employee question
I work for a local county agency in Oregon and in the last 6 months have been treated very badly.I have had to take time off work because of the way things are.I was promised a position from my boss and then ended up not getting it and she said the reason I did not get it is because I have children and am planning a wedding so it takes up too much of my time, although I have never missed a day of work because of my children or my wedding. The next day I saw her she said it was because I couldn't handle the job, but she had me doing the job for 6 months before it came open and when asked why she had me covering and doing the job she said because she new I wanted to the job but wasn't going to give it to me. Now, some staff in the office will walk by my desk and snicker and laugh and my boss is now demoting me because I don't smile is what she said. She will come into meetings and use the F* word.My fiance also works at the office and she has told me that I am not allowed to talk with him outside of work about work. I have told my boss repeatedly that I have too much work and that I can't do everything so she keeps adding more.I think she is trying to drive me out and want to know if there is anything I can do to stop the behavior.
Re: County employee question
As a county worker in Oregon, you are probably represented by a union. You should contact your union representative and state your complaints.
