injured on the job
i was injured while sitting at my desk june 23rd. a metal brochure holder that was filled and weighes anywhere between 50-80lbs was placed unsafely by a co-worker and fell on the back of my head causing me to black out for a split second and is now causing me nothing but pain and suffering. i've been out on workmans comp from 6/25 until 7/29 and a pain management doctor who was told to me that he was an orthopedic stopped all my physical therapy and sent me back to work 7/30. since then i have not been able to to go back and today i had a 2nd opinion on my injury. well this orthopedic informed me that i should have seen a neurologist based on having a concussion. now my workmans comp adjuster will not pay me for being out because the pain management doctor released me when he shouldn't have. i would like to speak to someone regarding my rights in this matter. thank you so much for y our time
Re: injured on the job
When you are hurt on the job, you are entitled to receive authorized meedical treatment for your work-related injury until you have reached maximum medical improvement. If the insurance company has terminated your treatment prematurely you can file a claim with the workers compensation court and appear before a Judge on a motion to receive additional authorized treatment. I recommend you contact my office, or any other competent workers compensation to discuss your situation.
