Jury trials and the vehicle code

I have been cited and released for driving with a suspended license and driving a vehicle,my friends, that did not have current registration. The so called suspended license was do to an unfounded allegation of owed child support. The child support services division has sent me a letter saying

that I am ''in compliance'' to the court and I have regained my license.

The OC DA has sent me a letter stating that I have to make a court appearance and plead to the charges.

My question is very basic. Can I plead not guilty and request a jury trial?

Re: Jury trials and the vehicle code

Sure, as long as you know what to do and how to do it in court. You have the right to represent yourself in this or any other criminal proceeding. I suggest that you'd have a better outcome likely with an attorney, who knows the system and what should be done. Feel free to contact me if you decide to get legal help.
