My mother has Alzheimers, and we recently had to put her into a home. Her funds will probably be exhausted in a couple of years, at which time, Medicade will take over.

She had been living with us for 3 years, but she still owned her home in rural Missouri. I understand Medicade looks back about 5 years at the money she has spent. Will they allow the money spent on her utilities, and the repairs/upkeep on her property in Missouri, even tho nobody has been living there?

Logic would say that routine maintenance and ongoing expenses are appropriate.
