wages to be paid' time allowed?

have completed job . the boss keeps delay paying me. job was doing drywall and painting her apartment complex.

There are a few issues.

First, if you are a regular employee, Texas payday laws may require you to get paid within a reasonable amount of time (less than a month).

Second, if you supplied labor or materials to a location and are not paid, you can prepare and file a mechanic's lien affidavit, which can be used to try an collect from the general contractor or the property owner. This must be done quickly though, within about three months (to the 15th of the month) from when the work was done.

Third, the simple solution is improving communications. Are you there often? For the purposes of this analysis, I assumed that this option was not working.

Other than that, we are always happy send a collection letter on an account if it is worth everyone's time.
