Case appealed from Magistrate.. Rule NISI scheduled. Did a Request for continuace previously but now wish to amend and reasons being of coronavirus. Can I amend motion, file stamp it and send copy to judges chambers for a ruling if the other side has yet to respond?
The Supreme Court of Georgia has already issued an order staying several deadlines. You should look into that.
You should check the court news: most courts in my area area are closed for hearings and are taking motions on papers only (subject to the court asking for a telephone conference). You can amend your papers and there will be a delay in completing the process.
