My injury occurred outside of work but is affecting my ability to work. My doctor has me on reduced shifts and a treatment plan, my employer is reducing my pay, switching me from salary to hourly and causing me to lose my medical plan, is there anything I can do?

If you arranged a consult with a personal injury attorney in the state where this occurred, you could learn whether you have certain legal rights as a result of the accident. Most attorneys in this area offer free initial consults. Not every accident means that someone is liable for your injuries (there are not details to go on here) and that you have a valid case. But a discussion with an attorney should enable you to determine that. If this had occurred in the course of employment, it would have been a different matter, and possibly covered under workers' comp law.
