My license was revoked and got a letter saying by Jan 14th I cannot use it, but as I wait for my appeal to go through I need to postpone the result or the revoking of the license as much as possible that the law allows it to. How can I do that?
The attorneys who have encouraged you to limit your disclosure of facts in this forum and to retain competent legal representation in your jurisdiction are absolutely correct. Any attorney you may retain should be thoroughly experienced in defending professional licensure actions. An adverse decision by a state medical board can have a host of collateral consequences. As former legal counsel to a state medical board, I witnessed the devastating impact that the representation by attorneys inexperienced in professional license defense had on a licensee's reputation and ability to earn a livelihood in the future.
It sounds like you received an Interim Suspension Order, because you would've been entitled to a Revocation Hearing prior to any Order requiring you to cease practice. I suggest you contact a qualified license defense attorney in CA, and refrain from disclosing too many facts via this public forum.
I switched this from Appeals to Licensing
