I mailed a money order to a co. that was going to do a job for me. I acidently left the stub leaving me no way to research it if it way lost. The co. could not accomodate methe work I needed done. They said they mailed the money order back uncashed to me but I never recievd it. It was for $500.00 and that is alot of money to me, It was made out to the co. and I could not of cashed it. My bank will not take a 2 party anything. My question: Is the co.respondsibile since I never recieved it. I view this the same way the gas co. does. If they don't get the money even if you sent it they still turn your gas off right?

You need to contact the company or bank that issued the money order and research whether that money order was ever deposited or cashed by this "company". If you have the money order stub or a photocopy of the money order, that would be very helpful.
