I purchased a side yard 1991, next to my home purchased in 1988 from the city. The deed was written with the wrong block and lot number. My husband passed away but he took care of the purchase, I did sign. The property next to my home(side yard) is what I thought we purchased. Now a developer has said he purchased the land and is planning to build a 3 bedrm 2 bath home. I want my side yard the city attorney has been putting my attorney off for 2 years. What can I do to get the side yard back. The lot is 100X40. Does New Jersey have some sort of open space law? Thank you for any information

you absolutely need a good lawyer who will tell you what the law is, and how it applies to you. Your attorney needs to give you clear forceful advice on how to take action.
