If I have my child during spring break and school is extending due to COVID-19, do I get to keep my child until school resumes?

No. The Texas Supreme Court has issued an order that specifically states the parties should follow the original school calendar and therefore the child should be returned when the school calendar says spring break should end, not when school actually resumes.

No. The Supreme Court has just issued an order addressing this issue.

Attorney Moore is absolutely correct. I was going to say the same thing. The Texas Supreme Court issued a statewide ruling a day or so ago because of all the parents in TX fighting. Of course, if you can agree to do something different, get it in writing and just do it. If this goes on quite a while then sharing parenting might make a lot of sense. But otherwise the current court orders apply.

Your answer is basically "no". Return the child at what would ordinarily be the end of spring break. The Texas Supreme Court issued a ruling the other day about this.
