I work at McDonalds in CA and due to the covid19 situation, the store is losing money, so tonight they sent home 4 out of the 9 scheduled employees, leaving us extremely understaffed for a very busy night. I was doing the work for what should be 3-4 ppl alone (I’m 17). We needed one person for backwash, and one person was on the grill, leaving 3 ppl to work through a crazy busy shift. This isn’t uncommon at my McDonald’s either.
Unfortunately, there are no minimum staffing requirements for fast food restaurants absent a union collective bargaining agreement.
While there are strict rules for the employment of 17 year olds, which limit the hours and jobs they can perform, they do not mandate minimum staffing levels. Below are links to a pamphlet and chart summarizing the restrictions.

Sorry but no. Without a union agreement to protect against this, the employer is allowed to overwork the employees, making one employee do the work of many. Your choice is to do it or leave.
Good luck to you.
previous adoption questions
her reasoning behind the adoption was so my daughter could be financially taken care of. since i have been kicked out, i am living in a nice home with the birth father and things are going well. i do know the name of the attorney we went to to sign the papers, we haven't gone to court for it and its been almost 6-7 months since this happened. i have aked for copies of the papers that i signed and my mother and the attorney are refusing to do so. mky question is, what are the steps i need to go through to get my daughter back before its too late?
